United States TA Education Project Print E-mail

Upcoming Training Series:

The USA Transactional Analysis Association (USATAA) education project is designed to introduce or reintroduce Transactional Analysis to professional communities. With a grant from the International Transactional Analysis Association (ITAA) the USATAA has developed a program to inform counselors, educators, coaches and organizational specialists in the basic theory and applications of Transactional Analysis.

This program leads to a certificate as a Transactional Analysis Practitioner for people who are qualified to practice in their fields. The comprehensive training program has three distinct stages:

  • 1. An evening presentation by a certified Transactional Analyst that provides an overview of the theory and application of Transactional Analysis in action
  • 2. A on e-day course in basic Transactional Analysis that provides a comprehensive overview of the essential components of TA and how these concepts work together in treatment and training
  • 3. Four two-day, in-depth training modules in theory and application of TA practice

The basic training modules cover classical Transactional Analysis (structural and functional analysis, Transactional Analysis proper, games, treatment contracts, rackets, and scripts). These two-day advanced training modules cover the use of Transactional Analysis with couples, in short-term therapy, and with small groups.

This program is designed for professionals and graduate students in clinical, educational, counseling, coaching and organizational development. Continuing Education Units will be awarded for each session at a minimal charge.

Information about internationally recognized Transactional Analysis credentials will be provided.

Leadership for the modular presentations will be provided by highly successful senior transactional analysts—Transactional Analysis “masters” with at least 25 years of experience using TA in practice. The programs are low cost with scholarship aid available and vary by each event.
